The Stakes Were High at Investing Jeopardy! Our recent Investing Jeopardy night was an absolute blast! We had an incredible turnout with four competitive teams facing off to test their market knowledge, financial literacy, and quick-thinking skills. It was inspiring to see so many members of the UVic Girls That Invest community come together for a night of high-stakes fun and friendly competition. Congratulations to our winners, and a huge thank you to everyone who came out to play!

Our members took to the "trading floor" for a hands-on workshop with UVic BCom Associate Dean and amazing professor, Mia Maki. Using the Investopedia Simulator, we practiced real-time investing strategies and portfolio optimization. From first-time traders to finance enthusiasts, everyone walked away with a better understanding of how the market moves!

To start the year off right, UVic Girls That Invest hosted a personal finance orientation featuring Suvin, an expert guest who traveled from Vancouver just to speak with our community. Suvin provided a comprehensive look at the pillars of financial wellness, answering a wide range of crowd questions with patience and wit. It was an incredible opportunity for our members to get direct, honest advice on managing their money from someone who truly understands the student experience.
